A Festival of Contemporary Cuisine

'In the past fifty years Australia has grown from an Anglo-oriented food culture into a country with some of the best restaurants and wines in the world.

My inspiration for Cuisine NOW was to bring together a collection of chefs whose careers represent a narrative of the changes in contemporary cuisine over the last 30 years. Cuisine NOW is a celebration of these artist chefs who have helped shaped contemporary gastronomy in Australia....'

The legendary Tony Bilson is known for his inspired cullinary talents over a career spanning 40 years. His passion has inspired him to create Cuisine NOW and for the inaugural festival he has assembled seven of the most influential voices in the world of gastronomy and is bringing them to  Sydney for a festival of contemporary cuisine. Running concurrently with the Sydney Festival, Cuisine NOW is a celebration of artists and an interpretation of cuisine through art. It promises a true stellar line up.

 

Cuisine NOW will entertain you with an extraordinary palate of events for two weeks from 11-23 January. It promises to be a veritable opera of flavours and aromas. Witness the passion, hear about the artists’ journeys and learn the process of creating works of edible art right in front of your eyes.

Cuisine NOW has set the stage at the magnificent new Doltone House. Please join us in the celebration of gastronomy interpreted by seven artist chefs who will bring it to life. Whether you are a connoisseur or you simply want to get bitten by the gastronomy bug, culinary heaven is just a click away.
